UKVI new Study Visa Entry Requirements (Supporting Funds)


You must fulfill certain financial conditions in order to apply for a UKVI study visa, and these requirements change based on whether you want to study in London or somewhere else.

London:

You must demonstrate that you have at least £1,483 a month for up to nine months in order to meet your living expenses if you want to study in London. For the full year, this comes to a maximum of £13,347.


Outside of London

However, the needed sum is lower if you will be studying outside of London, at £1,136 each month for up to nine months, or £10,224 for the entire year.


Extra prerequisites
:

Additionally, you must demonstrate that you have sufficient funds to pay for your first year of classes.
- You must demonstrate that you have enough money to pay the remaining sum if you have already made a deposit toward your tuition.
- Additional paperwork, such as a letter from your parents attesting to their approval of you spending their money to study in the UK, can also be required.


Criteria for Evidence:

You must demonstrate that you have retained the necessary funds for a minimum of 28 days in a row.

- If you depend on your parents or partner for financial support, the money must be in your bank account or theirs.


Important Points to Remember:

Make sure you're fulfilling the latest financial requirements for UKVI student visas, which were modified on January 2, 2025.

- You can be excluded from the financial criteria if you're applying for a student visa from within the UK and have been residing there for a minimum of 12 months while holding a valid visa.
